
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee pulls out from Modi's Ayushman Bharat

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee withdrew the state from its share of Ayushman Bharat, asking Centre to pay the complete amount if it wants to run the scheme. Ayushman Bharat is National Health Protection Scheme, which is expected to cover over 10Cr poor and vulnerable families (approximately 50Cr beneficiaries) providing coverage upto 5L rupees per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization.

Darjeeling student kills himself, role of online killer game suspecte

An 18-year-old student was found hanging inside a livestock shed in West Bengal with 'Illuminati', 'Doped Up' and the name of a girl written on the wall. The graffiti has raised suspicion that he killed himself following instructions from online game Momo Challenge. The Momo Challenge entices children to talk to a stranger who dares them to perform violent acts.

Minor girls raped in Darjeeling

Two incidents of rape of minor girls was reported in Darjeeling over the past three days. A 49-year-old man, known to be the father of the child, allegedly assaulted a three-and-half-year-old girl. In another incident four persons were arrested in connection with the rape of a 16- year-old girl at Phulbari in Darjeeling.
