ICC CEO Dave Richardson has said that ball-tampering and sledging threatens "cricket's DNA" and wouldn't be tolerated by fans in the wake of the Australia's ball-tampering scandal. Richardson further said the "public reaction" to the incidents in the South Africa-Australia series was an "eye-opener". "Winning must obviously be the aim...but not when it means compromising the integrity," he added.

International Cricket Council (ICC) chief executive David Richardson will step down from his position once his contract expires after the 2019 World Cup, cricket's world governing body said on Tuesday. Richardson, who became the first person to hold the position of ICC General Manager – Cricket in 2002, was promoted to chief executive in 2012.
