India successfully test-fires 2 quick reaction surface-to-air missiles

India successfully conducted two back-to-back flight tests of its state-of-the-art quick reaction surface-to-air missiles (QRSAM) against live aerial targets from a base in Odisha on Sunday. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully test-fired the two missiles from the integrated test range (ITR) at Chandipur. The entire mission was captured by various electro-optical tracking systems, radar systems and telemetry systems.

Defence Products' Exports To Exceed Rs 35,000 Crore Target

With the growing trend of shipments in recent years, exports of defence products will exceed the Rs. 35,000 crore target by 2024-25, an official said. "I expect the exports will surpass the target of Rs. 35,000 crore by 2024-25," Defence Production Department Secretary Ajay Kumar told PTI. The government had also allowed suo-motu defence products development and production.
