The Delhi government's free-electricity scheme will be an example of "smart governance" as it is encouraging Delhiites to reduce their power consumption, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Thursday. In August, the Aam Aadmi Party government had announced free-electricity of up to 200 units for domestic consumers and later extended the scheme to tenants residing in the national capital.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's much-publicised '10 Hafte, 10 Baje, 10 Minute' campaign to combat dengue might have garnered support from public figures and Bollywood celebrities, but it clearly missed a 6,000 square yard swamp in the National Capital's Chhatarpur area that poses a serious health hazard to not just locals but students studying in a school just next to it.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed concern over "worrying signs" for country's economy, pointing to "virtually stagnant" GDP growth rate, as the Economic Survey report was presented in Parliament on Thursday. "Economic Survey presented in the Parliament today signals towards worrying signs for our economy. GDP growth rate is virtually stagnant and all indicators point that we are in a slowdown," he tweeted.
