Arvind Kejriwal slams EC over delay in final voter turnout, EC says it's being compiled

Minutes after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal questioned the Election Commission over delay in the announcement of the final voter turnout in the Delhi Assembly election 2020, polling for which was held yesterday, the poll panel said the data of the voter turnout is being compiled. The election commission said the voter turnout data is being compiled and will be released soon.

With the Election Commission yet to come out with the final voting percentage of Delhi assembly elections, Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said it was "absolutely shocking" that the poll body was yet released the final voter turnout. Arvind Kejriwal also wondered why the poll panel was not releasing the figure several hours after polling got over.

With exit-polls in Delhi predicting a comfortable win for the ruling Aam Aadmi Party, CM Arvind Kejriwal called a meeting of senior-leaders of the party and its election strategist Prashant Kishor to discuss the security of EVMs ahead of counting day on Tuesday, sources said. Deputy-CM Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadha and Gopal Rai were among the AAP leaders present at the meeting.
