Delhi High Court Stays Order On Letting Private Schools Hike Fees

The Delhi High Court put a interim stay, till April 8, on a single-judge bench's order allowing private unaided schools in the city to hike their fees to implement recommendations of the Seventh Central Pay Commission on salaries of teachers and other employees. The court listed the matter for further hearing on April 8.

Plea To Stay PM Narendra Modi's Release Date Rejected

The Delhi HC rejected a plea seeking a-stay-on the release of film PM Modi. A bench of Chief Justice Rajendra Menon and Justice Anup Jairam Bhambhani rejected the plea filed by advocate Sujeet Kumar Singh. The film is scheduled to release on April-12. The plea sought a direction from EC of India to act against the violation of Model Code of Conduct by filmmakers.

Delhi Court Extends Custody Of Sushen Mohan Gupta In Chopper Case

A Delhi court on Saturday extended by four days the custodial interrogation of Sushen Mohan Gupta, alleged defence agent arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in the Rs. 3,600-crore VVIP choppers scam related money laundering case. The Enforcement Directorate (ED), which produced Mr Gupta, before Special judge Arvind Kumar, had sought extension of his custody by 10 days.
