Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Police Clash On Twitter Over Reports Of 5 Murders

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's tweet on national capital's law and order situation after five-murders were reported in day, prompted a sharp reply from the Delhi Police which claimed crime rates had drastically come down. "Overall heinous crime in 2019 is down by 10.5, crime by use of fire arms is down by 5.65 per cent, crime against women is down by 11.5%" they added.

Man, Who Killed Cow To Trigger Communal Tension In March, Arrested In Delhi: Cops

The Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested 29-year-old man from northeast Delhi's Harsh Vihar for allegedly slaughtering a cow in March with intentions to trigger communal tension on the occasion of Holi, police said. The accused, Imran, a resident of Ghaziabad, was hiding somewhere in Uttarakhand and had come to meet his family-members near Loni, from where he was arrested in morning, they said.

Parents, DDCA official in age-fraud chargesheet

Parents of seven Delhi junior cricketers, including those of one who was part of India's Under-19 World Cup winning team which won the title last year, and the DDCA secretary Vinod have been charge-sheeted by the Delhi police in a four-year old age-fraud case. The alleged fudging of birth-dates allowed these cricketers to represent Delhi in the Under-16 and Under-19 category despite being over-aged.
