Delhi warms up to single emergency helpline number 112

Facility filters out bogus calls in a big way, betters police response time and ensures greater digital scrutiny of PCR vans rushing to help people. It has been nearly two months since the Delhi's unified emergency helpline number, 112, was launched replacing the age-old police helpline number 100. Overall, about five lakh bogus calls are being aborted during screening itself.
