According to a study, night shifts clubbed with an unhealthy lifestyle can put you at particularly high risk of type-2 diabetes. It is well established that unhealthy lifestyle behaviour like smoking, a poor-diet and little exercise, and being overweight or obese increase the risk of type-2 diabetes. Shift work, especially night shift work, has also been associated with a greater risk of type-2 diabetes.

Vitamin B May Boost Kidney Function In Young Diabetics

A new study has reinforced the importance of vitamins, by concluding that vitamin B supplements may improve kidney functions in adolescents suffering from Type 1 diabetes. The study, which was presented at the 57th Annual European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology Meeting, said that consumption of vitamin B, may enhance kidney function by protecting them against development and advancement of renal diseases.
