A controversy has erupted over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's comments in a television interview in which he said that he sent an email in 1987-88. The Prime Minister was fact-checked by many on Twitter, who pointed out that email facilities were not available until 1995. PM Modi's comment nevertheless triggered a series of reactions on social media from the Opposition parties.

Sony announced the FE 400mm F2.8 GM OSS large aperture super-telephoto prime lens. It is the first large aperture super-telephoto prime to join the E-mount line-up and is suitable for professional sports, wildlife and nature photographers. The lens features two newly developed XD (extreme dynamic) linear motors that drive the lens focus group for achieving improvement in moving-subject tracking performance.

Action-camera maker GoPro forecast current-quarter revenue above Wall Street estimates and said it would launch three new cheaper cameras for the holiday season. GoPro’s new low-priced models of its flagship Hero camera follow a $200 model launched in March and builds on efforts to bring back action enthusiasts who have switched to pocket-friendly smartphones with powerful cameras.
