India, US ink pact on intellectual property rights

India and the US have signed an agreement on intellectual property rights (IPR) ahead of US President Donald Trumps visit. The Cabinet Wednesday approved an MoU with the US on the issue of IPRs, information and broadcasting minister Prakash Javadekar said. Terming it a knowledge-sharing agreement, officials said the agreement will enrich the IPR systems between the two sides.

US President Donald Trump promised to pardon WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange if he denied Russia leaked emails of his 2016 election rival's campaign, a London court was told on Wednesday. Assange's lawyer Jennifer Robinson said in a document that Trump relayed the offer through former US Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, the UK's domestic Press Association news agency reported.
Ahead of Donald Trump's visit, Gujarat govt reschedules Budget session

In view of US President Donald Trump's visit to Ahmedabad on February 24, the Gujarat government on Tuesday announced rescheduling of the Budget session of the state Legislative Assembly, which will now commence from February 26. As per the earlier schedule, the session was supposed to begin on February 24--the day when Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ahmedabad.
