Hyderabad: 2 held for cheating 2,000 people of Rs 9 crore

The Hyderabad Police arrested two men for allegedly duping 2,000 people of Rs 9 crore on the pretext of holiday packages, club memberships, and plots of land. The two were the managing directors of a company. The police also seized the company's register books, plot allotment documents, rubber stamps, silver coin gift packs, and cash worth Rs 8.15 lakh.
Conman held in Mumbai for duping builders

A 45-year-old man was arrested by the Mumbai polices AEC for allegedly posing as a Delhi Vidhan Bhavan consultant and cheating builders to the tune of crores under the pretext of arranging loans, police said. Police seized stickers bearing logos of the state and Central governments from possession of the accused, Milind Lavate, who used to paste them on his car, an official said.
