Earth-Like Planets Might Be Present In Universe, Study Suggests

There's no denying the fact that Earth is the only habitable-planet and one of its kind, but according to new-evidence there may be numerous Earth-like planets in the universe. White-dwarf stars are dense, burned-out remnants of normal stars. Their strong gravitational pull causes heavy elements like carbon, oxygen and nitrogen to sink rapidly into their interiors, where the heavy-elements cannot be detected by telescopes.
New Russian Telescope Records First Flashes In Earth's Atmosphere: Report

An ultra-violet telescope created by Russia with international participation to study short flashes in Earth's atmosphere has begun its work on the International Space Station (ISS). It has already collected its first data, Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics of Lomonosov Moscow State University (SINP MSU) told Sputnik. The device's optics and lenses were made in Italy and Japan, while electronics are Russian-made.
