Among the BJP's many triumphs in the national-election was retaining its "perfect 7" score in Delhi. Manoj Tiwari, the BJP Delhi chief and one of the winning candidates, said next stop would be the assembly-election next-year. "We will win all seats in the assembly elections," Manoj Tiwari said, confident of defeating Arvind Kejriwal's AAP, which dominates the current 70-seat Delhi assembly with 67 members.

The stepping aside of Gandhi family from the leadership role in the Congress following its debacle in the LS-elections is not a solution, a-senior-party-leader said hinting that other leaders may not be able to hold the party together. "So, that(Gandhi family members resigning from posts) is not something which provides a solution," Mr Reddy, also former vice-chairman of National Disaster Management Authority, told PTI.
Calls To Trigger Violence Today Centre Warns States Before Counting

There could be attempts to trigger violence during the counting of votes tomorrow for the Lok Sabha elections, the Home Ministry warned today, sending out alerts to chief secretaries and police chiefs of all states. The ministry said it has asked states and union territories to be on guard after "calls given in various quarters" for sparking violence and disrupting counting.
