Rs 600 crore electricity bill sends UP school into tizzy

A Uttar Pradesh school has got an electricity bill of Rs.618.5-crore for two-months of power consumption. The school is located in Varanasi district, the parliamentary constituency of PM Modi. Shocked at the amount of the electricity bill, the school authorities approached the power department to seek clarification. In the rural areas, the fix charges will increase from Rs.400 per month to Rs.500 per month.
