
2 killed, 24 injured in explosion in China

At least two persons have been killed and 24 others injured in an explosion at a factory in China's Northeast Jilin province, the local government said Saturday. The explosion occured at Jiangcheng Machinery Company based in a village in Dongfeng county on Friday, state-run China Daily reported. About 41 buildings were also damaged in the explosion.

Three injured as fuel tank of auto-rickshaw explodes

At least three persons were injured, two of them seriously, when the fuel tank of an auto-rickshaw exploded while CNG was being filled in it at suburban Malad on Saturday, an official said. The incident took place around 8 am at a petrol pump near Milap Talkies on S V Road in Malad West, the official said.

5 Indian workers injured in explosion at iron plant in Nepal

Five Indian workers were injured in an explosion at an iron plant Wednesday in southern Nepal, bordering India, source said. All the injured were working as daily wage labourers at the iron plant in Simara Sub-Metropolitan City-2 of Jitpur, Bara, Kathmandu Post reported. Four of the injured are said to be in critical condition and undergoing treatment at the Birgunj-based Health-Care Hospital.
