FreshMenu concealed 2016 data breach of 110k users

Food ordering startup FreshMenu suffered a security breach in 2016 that exposed personal data of over one lakh users including their names and phone numbers, security expert Troy Hunt has claimed. "FreshMenu was aware of the incident & elected not to disclose it to customers," he added. Founded in 2014, FreshMenu is backed by Zodius Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners.
Swiggy blames app crash on tech glitch

Online food delivery service startup Swiggy crashed on Sunday night with users not able to place orders in its mobile application as well as website across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi. Customers, who had already placed orders did not get delivery, took to complaining on social media platforms. "We are facing a technical issue due to which were unable to process orders," Swiggy tweeted.
