Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, HCL Corporation CEO and Executive Director Roshni Nadar Malhotra and Biocon Founder Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw have been named among the world's 100 most powerful women by Forbes. The Forbes 2019 list of 'The World's 100 Most Powerful Women' has been topped by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, followed by President of the European Central Bank Christine Lagarde in the second spot.

Three Indian-origin women have been named by Forbes among America's 80 richest self-made women, the "ceiling crashers" and "overachievers" blazing their own trails as they create new businesses and amass fortunes. The list has been topped by Diane Hendricks, who chairs ABC Supply, one of largest wholesale distributors of roofing, siding and windows in America. The 72-year-old has a net worth of USD 7-billion.
Indian retail tycoon becomes UAE's first permanent expat resident

Abu Dhabi-based Indian retail tycoon M A Yusuff Ali has become first expat to get the UAE's first gold-card permanent residency. Unlike the long-term visa of 5-10 years for businessmen and talented individuals, gold-card gives permanent residency of the UAE to the holder. The LuLu Group chairman becomes the first of 6,800 investors with total investment exceeding USD 27-billion to receive the gold card.
