
'Snapchat dysmorphia' has social media users seeking plastic surgery

Users are seeking plastic surgeries to look like Snapchat filters, according to an article in JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery. The disorder, coined as, "Snapchat dysmorphia", makes the patients request for fuller lips, bigger eyes, and thinner noses. This leads to being hypercritical of completely normal lines, blemishes, and imperfections masked by Snapchat filters, according to the article.
