CBI books two IPS officers in Rs 4,000 crore IMA scam

The Central Bureau of Investigation has booked Karnataka cadre senior IPS officers Hemant Nimbalkar, Ajay Hilori and three other police officers in connection with Rs 4,000-crore I-Monetary Advisory (IMA) scam. Media has learnt that a case was registered against the Karnataka Police officers after the state government granted approval to investigate the alleged role of 1998-batch IPS officer Nimbalkar and 2008-batch IPS officer Hilori.
Assam villagers donate paddy to fund CAA fight

Residents of about 75 villages in Dibrugarh district have donated 45,000kg of paddy to the All Assam Students Union (Aasu) to help fund its legal battle against the new citizenship law. The donation drive at Sasoni mouza in oil-rich Naharkatia had started over two weeks ago, with each household contributing at least 4kg of paddy.
NHAI to remove speed breakers at toll plazas

The NHAI has begun a drive to remove all kinds of speed breakers on national highways, particularly at toll plazas to ensure smooth flow of traffic. "Considering the fact that National Highways are designed to cater to high speed traffic without any hindrance, NHAI has started drive to remove speed breakers from national-highways under its jurisdiction," the authority said in a statement on Tuesday.
