Insincere, incompetent employees will be forced to retire: Tripura CM

Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb said that the state government employees found to be "insincere, incompetent and remiss" would be forced to go on retirement. He added, "However, these employees would be provided with their due financial benefit." Deb said that after every three months the "performances of the employees would be reviewed" and accordingly action would be taken.

CVC awaits sanction to prosecute 123 corrupt govt employees

The CVC is awaiting sanction from different organisations to prosecute 123 government employees, including IAS officers and those working in central probe agencies like CBI, ED and IT-Department, for over four months for their alleged involvement in corruption. Of the total accused, the highest of 45 are from different state-run banks. According to norms, sanction for prosecution has to be decided within four months.

Uttarakhand education officer sacked hours after receiving R-Day award

Chief Education Officer Jagmohan Soni from Uttarakhand's Almora was sacked from his position over allegations of corruption, hours after receiving the Chief Minister's award for excellence and good governance on Republic Day. The officer has been attached to the education directorate in Dehradun. Meanwhile, Soni has denied the charges levelled against him, calling them baseless.
