The Trump administration expressed doubts over Pakistan's intentions in arresting terrorist Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind of the 2001 parliament attack and the 2008 Mumbai attack, saying his previous arrests made no difference either to his activities or that of his terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba. The US "remains concerned" about terrorist groups that continue to operate in Pakistan, such as Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Haqqani network.

Court Sends Alleged Member Of Pak-Based Terror Group To 5-Day Custody

A Delhi court Thursday sent an alleged member of banned Pakistan-based terror outfit Falah-i-Insaniyat Foundation (FIF), to five-day NIA custody in connection with a terror funding case, which also involves Jamat-ul-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed. Additional Sessions Judge Anil Antil allowed NIA to quiz Mohammad Arif Ghulambashir Dharampuria in its custody. The agency had sought 12-day custody of the accused.

The Enforcement Directorate has attached assets worth over Rs.70 lakh in connection with a terror financing and money laundering case against 26/11 Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed and others. The attached assets include a residential flat and a shop in Delhi and bank accounts. The assets belong to a person named Mohammed Salman and his family members.
