Nine-years-ago, photographer Uddhav Thackeray brought-out a book on Maharashtra. Titled Maharashtra-Desha', book had aerial photographs taken from a chopper. An excited Uddhav showed his labour of love to then Bombay-Times editor Mark Manuel. The chopper door was open. It was flying at all angles so that Uddhav could get unusual frames. The wind forces were treacherous. Uddhav was fastened only by a seat belt.
Veer Savarkar should not be treated as a hate figure

In this election-season, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, whose 136th-anniversary was celebrated on Tuesday, has once again been at the centre of heated ideological debate over the future of India. The move of the Congress government in Rajasthan to remove Veer Savarkar from the textbooks has intensified the row over his legacy. There is little doubt that demonising Savarkar is usual behaviour for his ideological opponents.
Congress leader bats for Ram temple

Asserting that event the Muslims wanted the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, Congress leader Raj Babbar has said that his party was never opposed to it. "People have begun to realise that BJP is deceiving voters on the issue of Ram temple. It promises to build the temple but will not tell the date," he said. Everybody wants construction of Lord Ram's temple.
