Netflix, Hotstar said to start censoring content in India

Netflix Inc. and home-grown rival Hotstar plan to adopt self-regulation guidelines for content streamed on their platforms in India in an effort to prevent potential government censorship, people familiar with the matter told Reuters. India has film and TV certification bodies that moderate public content but the country's laws currently do not mandate any censorship of content on online streaming platforms.

I-League matches to be broadcast on Hotstar and Jio TV

Bowing to intense pressure from aggrieved clubs, All India Football Federation and its commercial partners have decided to show all I-League matches, which will not be televised, on online platforms Hotstar and Jio TV. The online broadcast will be underway from Friday, starting with Neroca FC facing Shillong Lajong in the afternoon in Imphal. "These matches will be shown with commentary, highlights and replays."
