Increase in number of human traffickers arrested in India

Two-girls, ages 13-years and 15-years respectively, rescued from traffickers in two different corners of the country, were brought to West Bengal on Tuesday. World Day Against Trafficking in Persons is observed on 30-July. According to the last available-report of the National Crime Record Bureau for the year 2016, out of 8,132-cases of human trafficking recorded in the country, 3,579-cases were from West Bengal alone.
China Rescues Over 1,100 Foreign Women "Sold as Wives"

Chinese police rescued 1,100 Southeast Asian women in joint raids last-year to crack-down on human-trafficking, authorities said. Some 17 children were also saved in the operations, which were coordinated with police from Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar. According to China's Ministry of Public Security, police arrested 1,322 suspects, including 262 foreigners on charges that including kidnapping and selling people as-well-as marriage fraud.
Hyderabad Police Busts Human Trafficking Gang, 18 People Arrested

Cyberabad Metropolitan Police has busted an international human trafficking racket and apprehended 18 people with fake passports and visas. "We arrested a total of 18 people including 15 illegal travel agents, two airline staff and one police official. We have also recovered 250 passports, fake visas and cash totalling over Rs. 5 lakh from their possession," said VC Sajjanar, Commissioner of Police.
