Eateries will have to display hygiene ratings on doors

Restaurants and hotels will soon have to display hygiene ratings on their doors. The food regulator is set to make such ratings mandatory for all restaurants along with presence of a food supervisor to monitor compliance of food regulation and ensure safety of food served. The regulator is in the process of forming guidelines to implement the rating system.
IIT Delhi startup launches reusable, eco-friendly sanitary pads

With an aim to protect the environment, reusable sanitary pads made from banana fibres was on Tuesday launched by Sanfe, an IIT Delhi-incubated startup. It is believed that the reusable sanitary pad will work in improving female health and hygiene. The reusable sanitary pad is developed by Archit Agarwal and Harry Sehrawat, who are final year engineering students at IIT Delhi.
India progressing in increasing access to sanitation in schools: UN

India has made rapid progress in increasing access to sanitation in schools, the United Nations said, noting that the proportion of schools without any sanitation facility has decreased at a fast pace in the country. The UN made the statement according to a new joint UN agency study, "Drinking Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene in Schools: 2018 Global Baseline Report".
