Illegal Construction On Government Land Should Be Demolished: High Court

The Delhi High Court said unauthorised or illegal construction on government land should always be demolished. The observation was made by a bench of Chief Justice D N Patel and Justice C Hari Shankar while dismissing a plea seeking that unauthorised construction, on private or government land, be handed over to the state which can then use it for rehabilitating families of war victims.
Complaint Filed Over Illegal Construction In Nizamuddin Dargah: Report

The ASI has filed a complaint with the police alleging that an "illegal construction" is being done in the premises of centrally-protected Nizamuddin Dargah complex, officials said. The heritage complex in South Delhi contains the 14th-century shrine of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, perhaps the most famous Sufi shrine that also houses the tomb of its patron saint, besides other historic monuments and a baoli (step-well).
Make guidelines within two weeks to blacklist defaulter builders: SC

The Supreme-Court on Wednesday directed the Centre to come out with proper guidelines within two-weeks to blacklist builders, contractors and architects found to have constructed buildings against sanctioned plans. A bench of Justice Madan B Lokur and Justice Deepak Gupta said that from now on the owner(s) of illegal constructions would be given only 48-hour notice to show cause respectively of the constructed buildings.
