In India, it was chairman of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani, who made an emphatic pitch on that point-that data is indeed the new oil, the source of wealth in the digital world. The data economy is at the centre of several new-age businesses that are creating value and jobs in the economy.
Nirmala Sitharaman hints at more interventions amid growth pangs

Finance-Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that several significant-steps in structural reforms have been taken in the past-few-months and responses/interventions addressing the needs of the economy will continue, indicating more relief measures could be on the anvil, if so needed. The FM's statement came a day after it was announced that the GDP growth-rate of the country went down to 4.5%, slowest in over six-years.
