India likely to reduce import tariff on several US goods: Report

The government on October-21 is expected to hold an inter-ministerial meeting to reduce import-tariffs on select US-goods. The meeting, which aims to reduce import-tariffs on a few US-goods, is India's step towards resolving trade-differences with US, according to reports. The report suggested that the government is considering reducing import tariffs on bourbon whiskey and frozen chicken-cuts and these could become significantly cheaper in India.
