China Cancels All Flights To And From Pak In View Of Tension In Region

China has cancelled all flights to and from Pakistan and rerouted its international flights flying over Pakistani airspace due to regional tensions, the official media in Beijing reported this morning. The closure of Pakistan's airspace in response to escalating tensions with India disrupted major routes between Europe and South East Asia and left thousands of air travellers stranded worldwide.

Air Canada resumes flights to India

A day after saying it was temporarily-suspending-operations to India, Canada's flag carrier Air-Canada announced that it has resumed its flights to India. Flights to Delhi will resume from Toronto and Vancouver. There are no-flights to Mumbai scheduled for February-28. "Our flexible re-booking policy for customers remains in place. Information will be updated on official Air-Canada website as it becomes available," airlines said in statement.

Punjab minister and Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu advocated talks with Pakistan and said that solution to tensions between two-countries is peace. In a letter, titled "We have a choice", Sidhu said the belief that only in thinking the worst "they can protect and defend" is a "mirage". "It is easy to think the worst of other, but it does not make us safer."
