"India, China Handled Differences With Maturity," Says Rajnath Singh

Asserting that India and China share "cordial relations", Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that "perceptional differences" between both countries on boundary issue have been handled with "great maturity and responsibly". "India shares cordial relations with China. Dismissing the recent scuffle between Indian and Chinese troops in Ladakh as a "face-off" that was resolved, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said the second informal summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping, set for October in India, would be held in "as warm a spirit as Wuhan". Mr Jaishankar declined to reveal the venue of the second informal summit.

Anti-dumping duty imposed on Chinese chemical import

The government has imposed an anti-dumping duty on a chemical from China, used in photography and manufacturing of dyes, for five years to protect domestic producers of the chemical intermediate from cheap shipments. The anti-dumping duty on Meta Phenylenediamine (MPDA) imported from China will be in the range USD 573.92-USD 1,015.44 a tonne, according to a notification of the CBIC.
