A 33-year-old Indian-American engineer has announced to challenge the Democratic senator from New-Jersey in 2020. Hirsh Singh, known as supporter of President Trump, will seek the Republican nomination for US Senate in 2020 against Cory Booker, according to New-Jersey Globe news website. "Booker has brought nothing to New Jersey. Having a US Senator who's not just resisting the president is critical," Mr Singh said.

Neomi Jehangir Rao, a prominent Indian-American lawyer, has been sworn in as US Circuit Judge for District of Columbia Circuit Court of Appeals, becoming the second from the community to be a part of the powerful court considered next only to US SC. Rao, 45, was sworn in by US SC Justice Clarence Thomas in the Roosevelt Room of the White House on Tuesday.
