An Indian woman based in US has written a letter to a New York pub criticising it over images of Hindu gods on its toilet walls. "I wasn't proud...I thought is it possible that my culture is again being...treated like an accessory of white culture," she wrote. The pub apologised and said, "The bathroom will be dismantled and redesigned ASAP."

The All India Women’s Selection Committee has picked up a 15-member India A squad for the upcoming T20 series against Australia A, slated to begin from October 22. Both Indian and Australian eves will lock horns in three matches, scheduled to be held on October 22, October 24 and October 26 at the Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai.

Andhra woman returns without Sabarimala darshan as protests mount

The attempt by a 45-year-old woman from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh to trek to the Sabarimala temple Wednesday failed as protesters prevented her from proceeding to the hill shrine at Pamba, one of the main entry points. As the countdown started for the opening of the temple for the five-day monthly pooja in the evening, the agitation of Ayyappa devotees spread to Nilackal and Pamba.
