Ahmedabad-Bound IndiGo Flight Returns To Goa After "Technical Glitch"

An Ahmedabad-bound IndiGo flight carrying around 180 passengers returned to the Goa airport Monday after taking-off as it developed a "technical glitch", a senior Airports Authority of India (AAI) said. Airport director Gagan Malik told PTI that the IndiGo flight, which had taken off for Ahmedabad from the Dabolim airport, had to make a mid-air turn back due to a "technical glitch".

Man Caught Smoking In IndiGo Flight Toilet, Detained After Landing In Goa

A passenger of an IndiGo flight was caught smoking in the aircraft toilet by the cabin crew on Christmas day. A strong odour of cigarette smoke came from the toilet on board IndiGo flight 6E-947, going from Ahmedabad to Goa on December 25, following which the cabin crew questioned the man. Smoking is not allowed in domestic flights under India's air safety rules.

IndiGo Plane Makes Emergency Landing In Chennai After Engine Failure

An IndiGo aircraft with 47 passengers on board had a-mid-air engine shutdown, forcing it to make an emergency landing at the Chennai airport, official said. The flight from Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh landed under full emergency conditions Sunday evening. All the passengers disembarked safely, airport authorities said. "Worse, despite loss of oil, pilot chose to do a go-around instead of landing directly," official said.
