Man Carrying Live Bullet Detained At Delhi Airport

A Bangkok-bound passenger has been apprehended by the CISF at the Delhi-airport for allegedly carrying a live bullet in his baggage, an official said on Saturday. The bullet was detected during the baggage search of traveller Jitender at the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Friday. Carrying arms and ammunition inside an airport terminal or in a plane is banned under the Indian aviation laws.
Air India launches Namaskar Sewa for passengers at Delhi airport

National-carrier AI has started 'Namaskar-Sewa' for airline passengers at Delhi-airport. 'Namaskar-Sewa' is a meet and greets service wherein Air-India-staff will take care of passengers from the airport entry-gate to till being passengers-board in the aircraft. But, the carrier will charge passengers for this service. Air-India has called a meeting on how to reach to the passengers and sort it out their complaint regarding services.
Jewar airport may have eight runways, twice the size of Delhi airport

The upcoming Jewar airport in Greater Noida is likely to have eight runways and it will be double the size of Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, which is likely to reach saturation point by 2024. The proposal, if approved and once completed, will make the Jewar airport one of the biggest in the world.
