SC refuses to entertain plea against imposition of NSA

The Supreme Court on Friday refused to entertain a plea challenging the imposition of the National Security Act (NSA) in few states and the national capital amid anti-CAA protests. A bench of Justices Arun Mishra and Indira Banerjee said that it cannot pass a blanket order with regard to the imposition of the NSA and asked lawyer M L Sharma to withdraw the plea.
George Soros says Facebook is conspiring to re-elect Donald Trump

Facebook is conspiring with US President Donald Trump to get him re-elected to the role in 2020, said Hungarian-American billionaire George Soros at the WEF summit in Switzerland. He said there was an "informal mutual agreement" developing between the two, wherein Trump will also protect Facebook. Soros expressed concerns that there was nothing to keep Facebook from spreading misinformation.
TRAI extends deadline for comments on tariff offers paper

The telecom regulator once again extended the deadline for receiving public comments on its consultation paper regarding "Transparency in Publishing of Tariff orders" to 7 February. "In view of the request of the stakeholders, it has been decided to further extend the last date for submission of written comments to 7th February 2020 and for counter comments to 21st February 2020," TRAI said.
