HCL Technologies misses street estimates; key takeaways

HCL Technologies missed analysts forecasts and reported 7.60% year-on-year drop in profit at Rs.2,220-crore for the quarter ended June-30. Analysts in an ET NOW poll had projected a profit of Rs.2,378-crore. Revenue of the IT major, on the other hand, increased 18.40% to Rs.16,425-crore during the quarter under review. The company maintained its FY20 revenue guidance at 14-16% in constant currency terms.
Accenture revenue rises 7.4% in the first quarter

Accenture Plc reported a 7.4% rise in quarterly revenue, as it reaped the benefit of its investments in digital and cloud services. Net income attributable to consulting and outsourcing services provider rose to $1.28 billion, or $1.96 per share, in first quarter ended 30 November from $1.12 billion, or $1.79 per share, a year earlier. Net revenue rose to $10.61 billion from $9.88 billion.
Infosys ADS holders seek refund of $3.7 million in depository fees

Infosys ADS holders have complained that IT firms's issue of bonus American Depositary Shares in September added to their cost of owning the securities without any concomitant-benefits.They have, in a letter to Infosys's chief financial officer Ranganath, asked Bengaluru-based company to review its ADS programme and refund over $3.7 million to its ADS holders in depository fees collected by firm on account of issuing-new-securities.
