Australia's Steve Smith was impersonating their bespectacled former opening batsman Chris Rogers by donning glasses after winning the fourth test at Old Trafford and not mocking England spinner Jack Leach, coach Justin Langer said on Tuesday. Leach was an unlikely hero in the third test at Headingley when he came in at number 11 and helped centurion Ben Stokes chase 359 to win.

After Steve Smith's heroics in the 4th-Ashes-Test at Old Trafford helped Australia retain the Ashes, it was believed that he would no more be subjected to crowd booing on English soil and that he had won hearts of his critics as well on the back of his phenomenal batting throughout the Ashes series. Australia legend Glenn McGrath was also part of the team celebrations.

England all-rounder Ben Stokes who hit an unbeaten 135 to power his side to an unlikely 1-wicket victory against Australia in the 3rd Ashes Test at Leeds on Sunday has said that his effort won't mean much if England are unable to regain the urn. Thanks to Stokes' match-winning effort the 5-match series is now locked at 1-1 with 2 more matches to go.
