
48 Countries Extend Support to India After Pulwama Terror Attack

As many as 48 countries extended support to India and condemned the Pulwama terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. Jaish-e-Mohammed, a Pakistan-based terrorist group, claimed responsibility for the attack which was carried out on Thursday, killing at least 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel.

Panel recommends national minimum wage of Rs.9750 per month

In an official statement made public, a government panel has recommended a national minimum wage of "Rs.375 per day or Rs.9,750 per month plus an additional housing allowance of Rs.1,430 per month for workers in cities". The minimum wage would be "irrespective of sectors, skills, occupations and rural-urban locations". Currently, minimum wages are decided by respective state governments.

Slovenia: Member of parliament resigns after stealing sandwich

Slovenian Member of Parliament Darij Krajcic has resigned after stealing a sandwich from a supermarket in Ljubljana where he says he was ignored by staff, who "treated (him) like air". Apologising for the theft, Krajcic said he regretted his "social experiment" and later returned to pay. He quit office after serving as an MP only for around five months.
