Press Council of India Supports Restrictions On Communication In J&K

The PCI has moved SC supporting the Centre and J-K government's decision to impose-restrictions on communication in state following the abrogation of Article-370. The application filed by the PCI-seeks intervention in the petition-filed by Anuradha-Bhasin, Executive-Editor of Kashmir-Times, in which she had sought the removal of restrictions on communication which she said were coming in the way of journalists' right to exercise their profession.

Haryana Government To Observe 2-Day State Mourning For Arun Jaitley

The Haryana-government has decided to observe a two-day state-mourning as a mark-of-respect to former-Union-finance-minister Arun Jaitley, who died in New Delhi on Saturday. According to a circular issued by the chief-secretary-office in Chandigarh, the national-flag will fly at half-mast from August-24 to August-25 in the state on all the buildings where it is flown regularly, and there will be no-official programmes on these days.
