AIADMK, DMK Field Relatives Of Its Leaders In Lok Sabha Polls

The ruling AIADMK in Tamil Nadu, which has for long attacked DMK for dynastic politics, seems to be following same route while fielding candidates for LS-polls. The party has nominated sons of its leaders including O Panneerselvam for April-18 polls. Among DMK's 20-candidates, six are children of prominent leaders while the AIADMK has allotted four of the 20 seats to wards of party leaders.
Jayalalithaa Death Probe Panel Opposes Apollo Hospital's Plea

An inquiry commission probing late Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa's death on Friday submitted in the Madras High Court that the Apollo Hospital could not seek to stall its proceedings at a stage when 90 per cent of hearing was over and that too after participating in it. Jayalalithaa died on December 5, 2016, over two months after being treated for various complications.
Apollo Hospitals moves High Court against CoI looking into Jayalalithaa's treatment

Apollo Hospitals has approached Madras HC urging it to restrain the CoI probing former CM J Jayalalithaa's death from looking into medical treatment provided to her in 2016 and alleged that CoI was prejudiced against it. The hospital wanted court to quash government orders that brought medical-treatment to the late-leader under the Terms of Reference of the Justice A Arumughaswamy Commission of Inquiry (CoI).
