Calls for the removal of JNU Vice Chancellor M Jagadesh Kumar are now not reasonable as the basic demand of students on hostel fee hike has been met, says Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal "Nishank". The situation in the university is turning normal and students who want to study should not be disturbed, the minister told PTI in an interview.
Delhi Police To Question 2 More Suspects In JNU Violence Case

The Delhi Police's Crime Branch on Wednesday will question two more suspects in connection with the January-5 violence on JNU campus in which atleast 35-people were injured, police said. Chunchun Kumar and Dolan Samanta have been called for questioning on Wednesday, they said. A team of Forensic Science Laboratory will visit the campus to retrieve data from the server-room, a senior police official said.

The Congress on Thursday accused the Centre of complicity in the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) violence and said that even after 72-hours since the incident no culprit has been identified and arrested so far. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said: "The Minister of Human Resource Development and the Home Minister are responsible for the attacks. This is officially sponsored "goondaism" in JNU.
