Suspects who attacked scribe caught on CCTV camera: Delhi Police

The suspects, who attacked and robbed a journalist in Delhi's Chittaranjan Park, have been caught on CCTV camera, the Delhi Police said on Wednesday. "Suspects, in the incident in which a woman journalist was attacked by chain snatchers in CR Park on September 22, have been caught on the CCTV camera," the police said. An assistant sub-inspector and two constables were suspended, police said.

Political journalist Ajay Kumar Singh was on Monday appointed as the Press Secretary to President Ram Nath Kovind, an official order said. Singh, 55, is currently associated with the Firstpost as a contributor. Singh started his career with the Times of India in 1985 (Lucknow) and worked in the Economic Times and the Telegraph. He later joined the Pioneer in Delhi.

A journalist has filed a police complaint against an aide of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, alleging he assaulted and threatened him during the Congress general secretary's visit to Sonbhadra district in UP. Nitish Kumar Pandey, a resident of Varanasi, said in his written complaint that Gandhi's personal secretary, Sandeep Singh, also touched his camera when he was covering her visit to Umbha village on August-13.
