
MP Teacher Suspended For Post Against Rahul Gandhi Reinstated

MP CM Kamal Nath has ordered the reinstatement of a government school teacher suspended for an objectionable online post on Congress President Rahul Gandhi. Stating the suspension was "contrary to his (Rahul's) way of thinking" and "to my way of thinking as well," Nath advised the teacher to read about the sacrifice of the Gandhi family to "dispel any prejudice".

Loan waiver tough for Madhya Pradesh farmers with no Aadhaar card

Faced with complaints that farmers who do not have an Aadhaar number are facing problems in filling up loan waiver forms, the Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh has ordered that such farmers be immediately enrolled in the unique identification programme. In such cases, it said, the enrolment number can be cited in the loan waiver form instead of the Aadhaar number.

The Kamal Nath-led Congress government in Madhya Pradesh has rejected BJP's charge that it is duping farmers in the name loan waivers by waiving only small-loans. The government said nearly 57% of the 5.56 million beneficiary farmers would soon have their outstanding loans of over Rs.50,000 waived-off. The state government has decided to waive off outstanding farmer loans up to the extent of Rs.2L.
