Bangladesh High Court on Tuesday rejected a writ petition which challenged the cancellation of former Bangladesh PM Khaleda Zia's candidacy. Zia is currently serving a 10-year jail sentence after her conviction in a corruption case. Her candidature was earlier rejected based on a law in Bangladesh that prohibits anyone who is serving a jail term of more than two years from contesting elections.
