Dharwad village residents drain lake after 'HIV' woman drowns

A 36-acre lake in Karnataka's Morab is being drained as villagers refused to use its water after the body of a woman suspected to be HIV-positive was found floating in it. Officials said they tried to convince the villagers that HIV does not spread through water but to no avail. They expect to refill the lake from a nearby canal.

A massive underground lake has been detected for the first-time on Mars, raising the possibility that more-water - and maybe even life - exists there, international-astronomers said Wednesday. Located under a layer of Martian ice, the lake is about 12-miles wide, said the report led by Italian researchers in the US journal-Science. It is the largest body of liquid-water ever found on the Red-Planet.
