After fighting it out for your phones, Chinese firms now eye smart TVs

After slugging it out in the cut-throat smartphone market, Chinese companies Xiaomi, One-Plus and Motorola-Lenovo are now competing in the smart television segment with ultra-budget and premium models. Sector watchers say these firms are strategically placed to capitalise on the brand recall among consumers and to leverage their distribution and online channels, along with their existing manufacturing facilities.
Motorola One Power with Android 9.0 Pie appears on Geekbench

Motorola One Power will soon get the Android 9.0 Pie update in the coming weeks, indicates a Geekbench listing. When the phone made its debut at this years IFA Berlin tech show, it came with Android 8.0 Oreo pre-installed. However, the company promised that the mid-end device will get upgraded to Android 9.0 Pie before the year ends.
Lenovo, LG Display working on a 13-inch foldable tablet: Report

Lenovo and LG Display are closely working on a 13-inch tablet with a foldable screen. Apparently, a non-disclosure agreement was recently signed, and the device will reportedly launch in second-half of 2019. The tablet, designed and manufactured by Lenovo, will feature a 13-inch OLED display when its fully opened. When the display is folded, however, the tablets screen would measure between 8 and 9-inches.
