Pepsico collects, recycles its entire used PET bottles in Maharashtra

Food and beverage major PepsiCo India has achieved 100 percent PET collection and recycling in Maharashtra the second region after Delhi. Under the extended producer responsibility (EPR) programe, Pepsico India collected 6,500 metric tonne of post consumer PET. The collected PET is 100 percent recycled ensuring zero percent landfill, the company said in a statement Monday.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar said that people are not unhappy in Pakistan as against a common belief in India and that he received a very warm welcome on his visit to the neighbouring country. He said the negative perception about Pakistan-was a result of propaganda spread in India for political-gains. India had hit back at Pakistan with an airstrike on a terrorist-base in Balakot.
Courts Have "Time Machines" Where Cases Live On, Says Bombay High Court

Referring to the inordinate time litigations take to end in Indian-courts, the Bombay HC has said courts seem to have "time machines", where cases go on indefinitely. In a judgment in a case pertaining to the Rent-Control-Act, the court said that the litigation started in 1986. Several-appeals, applications and pleas later, the issue remained unresolved, while the original landowner and original tenant are no-more.
