BJP Gets 11.65 Lakh Suggestions For Delhi Poll Manifesto: Manoj Tiwari

The BJP's fortnight-long drive seeking people's inputs to prepare a manifesto for the Delhi polls has received 11.65 lakh suggestions over a range of issues including the amended citizenship law and the continuing protests against it. Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari said on Thursday most of the suggestions were on waterlogging, potholes, damaged roads, dirty water supply, pollution and unemployment.

The Delhi BJP has adopted a "fully-democratic" process of ticket distribution for the upcoming assembly-polls, allowing all eligible party-leaders and workers to apply, its chief Manoj Tiwari said. He, however, made clear that winnability will be the prime criterion in ticket distribution. "The BJP ticket distribution will be fully democratic and we will allow all party persons to apply for it" Mr Tiwari said.

Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari said that his party will make the city-pollution-free within two years if it comes to power after the assembly-polls next year. In a live interaction with Facebook users, Manoj Tiwari also said that a law will be passed in the Winter-Session of Parliament, beginning November-18, on unauthorised colonies and registration of properties therein will begin a week after that.
