Sapna Chaudhary, a popular singer and dancer from Haryana joined the BJP, weeks after the party's resounding victory in the Lok Sabha elections. Her initiation took place at a-membership-drive of the party held at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, part of the BJP's mass membership campaign across the country. Her joining Manoj Tiwari's roadshow was soon after her denying all speculation of joining the Congress.

Delhi BJP May Go For Reshuffle If Assembly Polls Not Held Early: Report

The Delhi BJP may go for an organisational reshuffle in September-October if the Assembly-polls in the national-capital, scheduled for early-next-year, are not advanced, party sources said. The preparations for the Assembly-elections and the party's membership drive, to be launched on July 6, were discussed on Wednesday in a meeting of senior Delhi BJP leaders in the presence of national general secretary (organisation) Ramlal.

Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party president Manoj Tiwari invited CM Arvind Kejriwal and his Congress counterpart Sheila Dikshit to join him at an event to be organised by his party on the International-Yoga-Day on June-21. He said the Delhi BJP will host a yoga session on Friday morning in Ghonda in northeast Delhi and he wished to invite the present and former chief ministers there.
