NBCC climbs 2% on bagging Rs 720 crore order from CCL

Shares of NBCC climbed 2 per cent in Tuesday's trade after the state-owned firm bagged a Rs 720-crore contract from Central Coalfield (CCL) to manage the construction of a township project in Jharkhand. The stock rose 1.99 per cent to hit a high of Rs 38.35 on BSE. The company made the announcement post market hours on Monday.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week lows were 8K Miles Software, Aarti Drugs, Albert David, Alkali Metals, The Andhra Sugars, Apollo Tyres, Arvind Fashions, Ashok Leyland, Atul Auto, Bank of India and Bharat Heavy Electricals. The BSE Sensex was trading 326.77 points down at 36,691.55.
Sebi slaps Rs 40 lakh fine on 5 entities for fraudulent trade

Markets regulator Sebi imposed a fine totalling Rs 40 lakh on five entities for engaging in fraudulent trade in the shares of Pressman Advertising Ltd. The regulator conducted an investigation from April to August 2013 regarding the trading in the shares of the firm. The five were part of a group of 29 entities that allegedly indulged in reversal trades, Sebi said.
